Hi, I’m Sarah! Most people online know me as Finnigan. Goldenpaw Studio is where I’ve spent the last decade bringing ideas to life. I paint, animate, design characters, build costumes, and dive into whatever creative project catches my eye. It started as a pipe dream when I was eleven and grew into something that’s taken me across Canada and the US. Along the way, I found myself deep in the furry fandom, a creative community built around animal characters with human traits and personalities.
I’ve been part of the furry community since 2010. I started out at Windsor-area meets, helped run local events, and volunteered with conventions like Kerfluffle in Toronto. One year I even hauled the float for the Toronto Pride Parade. That one’s still one of my favorite stories to tell.
Over the years I’ve worked in all kinds of media: sketchbooks, Prismacolor pencils, digital tools like SAI and Photoshop, VR modeling, and 3D printing. I used to paint pet portraits in acrylic. That led to sewing costumes, building fursuits, and eventually running a full creative studio from home.
In 2018, I was invited as a Guest of Honour at Camp Feral. That moment really solidified the studio’s place in the community. Since then, I’ve kept exploring new tools and chasing projects that keep me curious. If something sparks my interest, I’m probably messing with it.
Right now, the studio is in hobby mode. I’m not taking on large projects at the moment, but I’m still open to small digital commissions and collaborative work. It’s a chance to recharge, learn new skills, and stay open to whatever’s next.
Even while things are quieter here, art is still a big part of what I do. If you’d like to connect, collaborate, or just see what I’ve been working on lately, you’ll find everything below.
